Weight of the World
Categorisation and classification allow humans to organise the objects and ideas that exist around us and simplify our understanding of the world. Just as we categorise objects and ideas, because of prior beliefs and knowledge, we mentally attribute characteristics to each other and categorise one another into social groups. Once we do so, we begin to respond to those people more as members of a social group than as individuals.Visual Arts
